Keep Your Faucet Working and Looking Like New

Don’t Toss Your Storage Bag!

Your fluid faucet is packaged in a soft storage bag — and it’s more useful than you might think. After installation, don’t throw it away!

  • Place your installation instructions, the aerator removal tool, and any other included tools inside the bag.

  • Pull the drawstring closed and attach the bag to the plumbing under your sink.

  • You’ll always know where everything is when you need it.

Pro Tip: Keep your purchase receipt in the bag too — you’ll have it handy if you ever need warranty service in the future.

Did you know? About 85% of homes in North America have hard water. [Click here to learn more about hard water.] If your home has hard water, the best way to prevent faucet problems is simple: keep a microfiber cloth nearby and dry your faucet after each use.

Every time you wipe away the water, you’re also wiping away the mineral deposits that cause scale. This quick habit will save you hours of scrubbing later.

Regular Cleaning

You don’t need strong detergents to keep your faucet spotless. In fact, harsh cleaners can damage the finish. Instead:

  • Once a week, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner — a few drops of gentle dish soap in warm water works wonders.

  • Apply with a very soft brush or cloth.

  • Rinse, then buff dry for a streak-free shine.

It’s simple, inexpensive, and better for the planet.

Removing Existing Mineral Build-Up

If you’ve moved into a home where scale has already formed:

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water.

  2. Soak the affected area for 10 minutes.

  3. Wipe clean and repeat if needed.

Once clean, make daily wiping a habit — and you won’t need to do it again.

Protecting the Finish

Be mindful of rings, bracelets, watches, or other hard objects when using your faucet. Over time, they can scratch certain finishes.

Maintaining the Aerator

Your faucet’s aerator does more than shape the water stream — it also traps dirt and debris from your water supply. Over time, that debris can build up and slow your water flow.

Your fluid faucet comes with a tool to remove the aerator. About every six months (or whenever you notice a drop in water pressure):

  1. Remove the aerator.

  2. Rinse thoroughly under running water.

  3. Reinstall.

If Your Faucet Starts to Leak

A leak often happens when debris builds up in the cartridge.

  1. Remove the cartridge. (Click here to see how.)

  2. Rinse it clean.

  3. Reinstall.

This quick fix often solves the problem. If it doesn’t, our customer service team is ready to help.
